Indian Express: Indian American Wins Prestigious Prize

Neha Gupta18-year old Neha Gupta has become the first American to win the Children’s International Peace Prize, reports the Indian Express.

The prize committee recognized the Indian American for her work with orphans in India.

Just how prestigious is this award?

Last year’s winner, Malala Yousufzai, went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

The teenager from Philadelphia has raised $1.3 million dollars for the global charity she runs, Empower Orphans.
