Korea Times: Korean American Film Chosen for Sundance

Seoul SearchingA film inspired by the racist depiction of Asian Americans in the film Sixteen Candles will make its debut at Sundance next month.

Seoul Searching will be included in Sundance’s  Premiers lineup, a showcase of some of the most highly anticipated dramatic films of the year, reports the Korea Times.

The film is directed by Benson Lee and stars Justin Chon from The Twilight Saga and 21 and Over.

The movie centers around a group of Korean American kids who attend summer camp in Korea to learn about their culture.

Lee conducted his casting call on Facebook for the film.
