Laotian American poet Bryan Thao Worra has won the Book of the Year Award from the Science Fiction Poetry Association, reports Fangoria.
Worra’s book of horror poetry, DEMONSTRA, received the 2014 Elgin Award for Book of the Year.
Worra has been active in the Lao Diaspora Project in Minneapolis. The exhibition runs Jan 10 – 24. It’s the first of many programs to be held across the country next year to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the arrival of Lao diaspora to the United States.
