A group of Korean American protestors aren’t exactly “lovin’ it” at McDonald’s, as the fast food chain’s advertising slogan goes.
The NY Times reports that several Korean American groups are calling for a boycott of the McDonald’s in Queen’s after video surfaced of a broomstick attack on a Korean patron by an employee.
The incident happened in February, but has received renewed attention following the release of the video.
James Jin Kim said he was attacked after complaining about waiting ten minutes for a cup of coffee. According to Kim, an employee responded “We don’t serve coffee to people like you,” before telling him to “Get out of my restaurant!”
Kim is asking for $10 million in damages.
