The Interview will be coming to a North Korean home near you, reports ArsTechnica.
North Korean defector Park Sang-hak says he will drop 100,000 DVD & USB copies of the movie denounced by Pyongyang as part of his regular balloon drop into the country.
Park has made it a habit of dropping anti-government leaflets, Wikipedia entries and popular TV shows into North Korea by way of 36-foot-long (12-meter) balloons.
“I believe that if we can get 100 times more balloons, then we will make [North Korean dictator] Kim Jong Un paranoid—sending more and more balloons to North Korea is more effective than sending a bomb on North Korea,” Park said back in February. “The thing is that if South Korea or the United States Air Force dropped a bomb, there’s a way that [North Korea] would react to it, but the thing is with leaflets there’s no way to react.”
The Interview is a political comedy featuring two journalists who score an interview with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and are instructed by the CIA to assassinate him.
