Modell’s Sporting Goods is selling t-shirts to show their support for the New York City Police Department and the slain police officers, Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, reports New York Daily News,
The t-shirts are printed with the officers’ badge numbers and also read, “I LOVE NEW YORK’S FINEST.” The idea to sell the t-shirts came from an inspiration from a cartoon from the New York Daily News. They will sell for ten dollars each and all proceeds will go to the Liu and Ramos families.
“We are going to surpass a millions dollars, “said the CEO, Mitchell Modell.
A press conference attended by the both officers’ families was held at a local Modell’s store in New York’s Times Square. The t-shirts will be available in New York and New Jersey.
