Quite a big moment on the ABC reality show, Shark Tank.
As 8 Asians reports, the Kang sisters from San Francisco were there to ask for funding for their dating start up Coffee Meets Bagel.
By the end of the episode, judge Mark Cuban was offering them $30 million dollars to buy the company. It was the largest offer in show history. The Kangs, Arum, Dawoon and Soo Kang, would turn it down.
The Korean American sisters boasted of monthly double digit growth and of 100,000 to 500,000 users.
The judges pushed them for more precise numbers, but the young entrepreneurs refused calling that information proprietary.
They also admitted they had lost pretty much every dollar they invested in their first year and anticipated breaking even on a $10 million investment in their second year.
All the judges initially declined to invest any money, but then Cuban came back with his offer.
