CAAM & Storycorps Seek Stories of Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year, KoreanMemories of Lunar New Year are etched into the minds of many Asian Americans, particularly the Chinese, Korean, and Southeast Asian communities.

Caamfest and Storycorps are hoping you and a closed friend or family member are willing to share your story. They are particularly interested in hearing your tales of Lunar New Year traditions and food.

They’d like to record your story in a recording booth on February 18 in San Francisco. Everyone who participates will get a CD copy of their story. Select stories will be put on the Center for Asian American Media’s website and air as part of the Storycorps segment of National Public Radio.

To make an appointment and for more information, contact CAAM staff member Momo Chang at momo[at]caamedia.org.
