Those hoping for Jeremy Lin to return to the starting line up for the Los Angeles Lakers will have to wait another day.
Lin instead came off the bench to score 20 points and add 8 assists in a 108 – 101 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Several reports indicated Byron Scott would insert Lin back into the starting line up this week. CBS reported he would start along side Filipino American Jordan Clarkson, making the first all Asian American starting backcourt in the NBA.
Lin played 32 minutes to lead the Lakers in scoring, assists and steals (3).
Scott’s next chance to start Lin will be March 3 in Charlotte.
