An apparent slight at the annual celebration of television known as PaleyFest is resurrecting talk that Good Wife star and Emmy winner Julianna Marguiles pushed co-star and fellow Emmy winner Archith Punjabi off the show, reports Aerogram.
Punjabi apparently wasn’t invited to PaleyFest which featured the entire cast of Good Wife, the CBS legal drama. This is Punjabi’s last season on the show as her character Kalinda is being written off it.
Some cite jealousy by Marguiles as the reason Punjabi is leaving, but series co-creator Robert King had a different reason saying its just the natural evolution of Punjabi’s character.
When asked by TV Line why Marguiles and Punjabi haven’t appeared in the same scene in two years, he said their separation “is very much intentional to raise expectations.” Kalinda had an sexual fling with the husband of Maruiles’s character Alicia . King promised Kalinda would get an appropriate exit from the show by season’s end.
