Bloomberg: Asian Americans Cite Lack of Diversity in Video Games

CATEGORIES

cosplayResearch conducted by Nielsen Games has found while Asian Americans are more likely to play video games, they are less likely to see themselves depicted in these games, reports Bloomberg:.

49 percent of Asian Americans surveyed disagreed with the statement ““All races have ample representation/inclusion in video-game characters.” That’s more than twice the number of African Americans, Hispanics and Whites.

According to Nielsen, this is a wake up call to the video game industry to market better to an important consumer segment.
