Daily News: Jeremy Lin Won’t Rule Out Return to Lakers

Jeremy LinJeremy Lin held perhaps his last news conference as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday, but Lin says not so fast.

The Lakers are ” definitely an option for me to consider,” the Daily News reported Lin said to the assembled media.

The point guard, who will officially be a free agent after tonight, will likely have to settle for less than the $14.9 million he made in the last year of a three year contract he signed with Houston and wrapped up with the Lakers this season.

“I want to find a good place and hopefully the best place I can fit in at,” said Lin. He said he agreed with the team’s assessment of his year. He had trouble at the beginning of the season adjusting to the system put in place by coach Byron Scott. He says as the season progressed, he became more comfortable with the team and the team became more comfortable with him. Lin said injuries forced the Lakers to open up their offense more toward the end of the season and that created opportunities for him.

You can watch the entire news conference and hear his thoughts about his coach and his fans in the clip below from Time Warner Cable.
