AAPI Heritage Month Factoid: Asian Americans a Growing Presence in Minnesota #‎myinspirasian‬ ‪#‎apahistory‬ ‪#‎apalegacy

Asians are the fastest growing ethnic group in the state.

Minnesota has the second largest Hmong American population in the country with 77,575, according to the Center for American Progress and AAPI Data.

It is also home to the third largest Laotian American population with 14,831.

In 1957, President Ngo Dinh Diem of South Vietnam addressed a Joint Meeting of Congress.
