In 1900, Robert William Kalanihiapo Wilcox is elected to serve as the first Delegate representing the Territory of Hawaii in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Today Hawaii is represented by three Asian Americans in Congress.
They are Rep Mark Takai (D-HI), Rep Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hi) and Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI)
