NBC  reports that Wojciech Braszczok, the undercover NYPD detective charged in the biker gang assault on Alexian Lien in 2013, has been found guilty of second and third degree assault, coercion, riot and criminal mischief, but was found not guilty of the more serious charge of gang assault.

Braszczok had admitted during  the trial of lying to the NYPD about his involvement in the incident because he feared for his own safety and losing his job.

Judge M Wiley found the other defendant, Robert Sims,   guilty of the same counts and  not guilty of gang assault.

On the witness stand, Lien said of the incident, “I’m horrified at this point, and I recall asking my wife, ‘What do I do? What do I do? She says, ‘Just go! Just go!”’

Lien tried to escape the bikers by speeding off, but drove over Edward Mieses who is now paralyzed. Lien has not been charged.

Eleven other men pleaded guilty and are facing sentences of probation and prison of up to four years.
