The Cleveland Police Department has agreed to investigate what the Council of American Islamic Relations is calling “bigoted”, “racist”, and “anti-Muslim” tweets by a Cleveland police Sergeant, reports Scene.
“While Sgt. (Frank) Woyma is retweeting racist and anti-Muslim materials on a private account, his clearly bigoted views can only serve to cast a negative light on the Cleveland Division of Police and harm relations with the community he is supposed to serve and protect,” CAIR-Cleveland Executive Director Julia Shearson said in a public statement.
In one tweet, the group says there is an image of a crusader knight with the headline ‘I will turn back the Muslim hordes.’
In another, an elephant is defecating with the caption “And here we have an extremely rare photo of the actual birth of Barack Hussein Obama! Kenya Africa 1961”
A third includes a retweeted image of a Quran being flushed down the toilet.
The Cleveland Police Department’s social media policy prohibits employees from spreading messages that contain any “bias against any race, religion or protected class of individuals.”

Maybe we shouldn’t let CAIR have any say in our police force.
