CBS NY: Man Arrested Suspected in String of Attacks against Indian Americans

Police in North Brunswick, New Jersey say a man arrested in connection with the beating of a 57-year old Indian American man may also be connected to a string of other attacks against Indians, reports CBS NY.

Rohit Patel was beaten over the head and suffered broken teeth and needed stitches on his mouth and forehead.

Police says 24-year-old Nyle Kilgore targeted Patel because he is Indian. He is free on bail.

“My dad is a very fragile, innocent man who was just on his daily walk,” said Dipen Patel. “What went through your mind to see him and actually want to cause him pain?”
