More details are coming out about the contract Jeremy Lin is expected to sign with the Charlotte Hornets.
As AsAmNews reported last night, Lin announced his move on Facebook and Twitter.
Yahoo reports that Lin will sign a two year contract worth more than $4 million. That would be a significant pay cut from the three year $25 million deal he signed with the Houston Rockets.
The Charlotte Observer however reported its probable Lin will sign a contract with a starting salary next year of $5.5 million. That would be the highest salary the Hornets could give Lin under the full mid-level exception.
Many Lin fans might be disappointed to learn that he is expected to play a backup role behind starting point guard Kemba Walker. However, Lin is expected to be utilized for his offense on a team that last season lacked scorers.
