Diversity will be an important part of the casting in the upcoming new Star Wars trilogy, said Director JJ Abrams.
8 Asians reports the response came in answer to a question from two Asian American audience members during Comic-Con in San Diego.
“We wanted the movie to look the way the world looks,” said Abrams. “And I think it is important that people see themselves represented in film. I think it is not a small thing. So I completely understand and think your question is hugely important. And it was a big consideration.”
