ABS CBN: Two Filipino Americans Compete for Emmy

Two Filipino Americans are up for Emmys for best original song, reports ABS CBN.

Filipino American Darren Criss wrote the finale for the show Glee.

Since leaving Glee, he has gone on to perform on Broadway appearing as Hedwig Robinson in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson Lopez are nominated for two songs– Kiss An Old Man for the show The Comedians, and for Moving Pictures, the special opening song that they wrote for the Oscars.

The couple this week debut their new play Up Here at the La Brea Theater in San Diego.
