NY Post: Ex-Cop Braszczok Gets Two Years for Biker Beating of Alexian Lien

Former New York undercover officer Wojciech Braszczok was sentenced today to two years in prison for  the brutal beating of SUV driver Alexian Lien in 2013, reports the New York Post.

Braszczok, was involved in the motorcyclists’ road rage which cost him his job after he was convicted and found to have lied during the trial about his involvement. Video evidence showed the former officer breaking Lien’s rear window. The ex-cop said he lied during the trial out of fear of losing his job.

During the incident, Braszczok said he fled the scene and did not report it. Lien’s brutal beating left him with two black eyes and almost two dozen stitches.

The prosecutor ask for three and a half years in prison, while Braszczok’s attorney asked for a non-jail sentence.

It is not known if Lien was present at the sentencing. A total of 11 motorcyclists were charged in the road rage.

Braszczok will begin his prison term in September.
