SF Gate: Prosecutors Tie Raymond Shrimp Boy Chow to Murder

A federal prosecutor says he can link Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow to the 2006 murder of the former leader of a San Francisco Chinatown fraternal organization Chow is now running, reports
SF Gate.

Chow currently is facing trial for racketeering charges connected to the Ghee Kung Tong.

Assistant U.S. Attorney William Frenzen says he is not interested in charging Chow with that murder, but plans to introduce it as part of his case against him. Frenzen says Chow became leader of Ghee Kung Tong six months after the murder of the previous leader, Allen Leung. No one has ever been charged with that killing.

Frenzen introduced the supposed link during a hearing in San Francisco Federal Court before Judge Charles Breyer.

Chow’s attorney Curtis Briggs called Frenzen’s intentions a farce.

“If there is a murder being charged, let’s charge it,” Briggs told Breyer.
