Priyanka Chopra’s long journey to “make it” in America received a big stamp of approval Wednesday night.
The star of ABC’s Quantico won the People’s Choice Award for favorite actress in a new TV series. Chopra has been an international sensation on the Bollywood scene, but has never had a real hit in the United States until Quantico.
According to Pinkvilla, she is the first South Asian actress ever to win this award.
Chopra clearly enjoyed her moment in the spotlight. At one point, she even ran up to a photographer backstage to give him a peck on the forward.
