How’s this for a nice chunk of change?

One of three winning Powerball tickets was sold by a 7-Eleven in Chino Hills, California owned by an Indian American, reports India West.

Store owner Balbir Atwal received a $1 million dollar check from the California Lottery for his good fortune.

A crowd which had gathered there cheered as Atwal held up a blown up copy of the check.

“I feel very good, some lucky customer came here and made me famous,” Atwal told The Washington Post.

The 57-year-old Atwal bought his first 7-Eleven at age 27. He now owns four. He immigrated from India in 1981 as an electronics salesman.

His customer who bought the winning lottery ticket has not yet come forward.

You can read about all the hoopla outside Atwal’s Chino Hill’s 7-Eleven in India West.
