The Television Critics Association named Master of None the best television comedy at the TCA Awards Sunday night.

The Netflix original  stars    Anziz Ansari and follows his life as a single Indian American and his best friend played by Kelvin Yu.

Netflix aired 10 original episodes in the first season, but despite its success, Ansari told Mashable he’s in no hurry for season 2.

“I think we really want to push ourselves and do something interesting and to really top what we did,” he said. “I think that’s the goal, however that gets accomplished, whatever format will do that. I think what’s great about the show is we’ve established we can play with things a bit and it’s not a rigid structure.”

More power to him. That’s artistically freeing not being restricted, but also a risk in a generally risk-free industry.

The thing about being on Netflix is Ansari may be allowed to do things a traditional broadcast network or more established cable outlet might not allow.

The comic says the show hasn’t even begun to think about a season 2.
