KABC: Deputies Seek Help from Vietnamese Community in Search for Jail Escapees

Orange County Sheriff Deputies suspect three escapees with ties to local Vietnamese gangs may still be in the area, and are reaching out to the Southeast Asian community for tips, reports KABC.

The three escaped Friday from the maximum security jail in Santa Ana.

Jonathan Tieu, 20, Bac Duong, 43, and Hossein Nayeri, 37, were awaiting trial for violent crimes all unrelated to each other.

Tieu’s mother tearfully pleaded for her son to turn himself in.
