Vanessa Hudgens announced on Twitter today that her father Greg Hudgens died of stage 4 cancer.
The announcement came just eight hours before Hudgen’s scheduled performance as Sandy in the live television production of the classic movie, Grease.
I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers.

Hudgens has been asking for prayers for her father since announcing his illness this past summer. She left no doubt she will continue with tonight’s scheduled performance.
