Los Angeles Lakers’ guards Jordan Clarkson and Nick Young are being investigated by the team for sexual harassment, reports ESPN.
Young is a nine-year veteran who began his career with the Washington Wizards, but since has bounced from the Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, before landing with the Lakers in 2013.
Clarkson is one of the up and coming players in the league and is just in his second season. He is also one of the few Filipino Americans ever to play in the NBA.
Alexis Jones, co-founder of the non-profit I Am That Girl, says the two players made “vulgar sexual” gestures toward her mother as their car pulled up alongside theirs.
Jones did not recognize the men as NBA players, but the two were identified after she posted their picture on Instagram.

“She was super rattled. That’s the truth. It scared her,” Jones said about her mother. “We were in a small car, and they were in a big Jeep, and it was a bunch of big dudes. They’re leaning out of the car and making vulgar, sexual gestures. My mom was really shocked. That immediately turned into sobbing.”
Jones launched a program called Protect Her to address sexual abuse in athletics. She recently held a meeting with the NBA about the issue.
The Lakers have apologized to Jones and have raised the possibility of her speaking to the team. The Lakers say they are investigating the allegations and taking it “very seriously.”
