
Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang will be honored by the Asian Pacific American Institute of Congressional Studies at its annual awards gala on May 4.
Ansari and Yang will receive the Vision Award for their work breaking barriers in entertainment. The two currently work on the Netflix’ Master of None in which Ansari stars and executive produces with his collaborator and fellow show runner Yang. The two also worked together on NBC’s Parks & Recreation. Ansari was part of the ensemble cast and Yang was one of the writers.
Also being honored that evening is Rep Xavier Becerra, a former chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and a member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus.
“Congressman Xavier Becerra has dedicated his life to public service and has long been a tireless advocate for the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, said Floyd Mori, APAICS President and CEO.
Becerra will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Toyota will accept the Corporate Achievement Award for its longtime support of APAICS.

The dinner will be held on May 4 at the Washington Hilton.
