Canadian born Angela Lee of British Columbia has become the very first ONE women’s champion in MMA history by unanimous decision.

Lee who represents Singapore, but now makes her home in Hawaii where she moved at age 7, beat Japan’s Mei Yamaguchi May 6 in Singapore for the 115 pound women’s title .

The 19-year-old Lee has quickly ascended to the throne with just one year and five previous fights to her resume. She remains undefeated.

Yamaguchi had won three straight and is now 15-9-1.

A partisan crowd of 11,000 looked on at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

You can watch the entire fight below.

In her post fight interview with the Strait Times, Lee said “I told you guys. I was born for this. It take an army to build a champion and I want to thank my amazing team and my parents. Without you guys I wouldn’t be here.”

This morning on Mother’s Day she expressed her appreciation tp her mom.

There’s no doubt we’ll be hearing a lot more about this young champion in the future.
