Actors Randall Park and Ken Jeong want you to fulfill your dream if you have the acting bug.

They’re encouraging you to submit an entry into the ABC Discovers Digital Talent Competition to win a $25,000 one year talent deal with ABC.

Both Park of Fresh Off the Boat and Jeong of Dr. Ken recalled the day they decided to become an actor.

“I knew I wanted to be an actor in college and I came in undeclared and I didn’t know what I was going to do with my life,” said Park.  “I never thought it was something I could pursue professionally and my parents agreed. There have always been moments when I thought, ‘wow, I’m getting better at this. I’m getting more confident at this.’

“I was pre-med at Duke when I took my first acting class in college,” said Jeong. “I fell in love with acting. When I actually became a physician and started practicing, I would do some performance on the side, do stand up comedy at an open mic night.”

According to Deadline, the 2014 Digital Talent Competition winner, Cornelius Smith Jr., is a series regular on the hit drama Scandal, and 2015 winner Samuel Adegoke is seen on Criminal Minds Beyond Borders and Switched at Birth.

To enter, you must answer a brief question and submit a taped audition based on one of several scripts you can choose. The deadline to enter is this Friday, June 17 at noon PT.

Both Park and Jeong say the audition process is a key for any actor.

“The auditioning process is the only opportunity when you’re auditioning for an acting job where its all on you  If you have an opportunity to read for an amazing casting director, that’s the victory regardless if you get the job.  If you get a part 1 out of every 25 auditions, that’s huge. That’s amazing, said Jeong.”

“At the time I had no idea how to audition,” recalled Park.  “Every audition was a lesson in some way. Before I make a living out of solely acting, it was a good 10 years and during those 10 years, I was broke. They’ll be a part for you. They’ll be  a part where your kind of skill set and being fits perfectly.
