A billboard put up by an independent congressional candidate in Southeastern Tennessee declaring Make America White Again has been removed 12 hours after going up.
WRCB reports the owner of the billboard will not confirm if or why his company removed the large advertisement.
In the short time it was up, it generated a lot of attention and a lot of controversy. Candidate Rick Tyler denies it, but its clear from his rants and postings on his website that he is a White supremacist and a racist.
He described those offended as “frothing at the mouth lunatics” and he called “telling the truth a revolutionary act.” He also said Blacks present a “clear and present danger to Whites” and labeled the phenomenon “White fright.”
The billboards have unfortunately given him his 15 minutes of fame. Hopefully we’ve heard the last of him as he deserves no more attention.
He said he would put up hundreds of more signs if he could.
The manager of the pizza shop near where the billboard is located didn’t want anything to do with the sign.
“We love our people and our customers. Please don’t think that’s in any way associated with us,” she said.
