Six years after Amanjeet Singh “Sonny” Toor, 36, moved to the Phoenix from India, he was finally reunited with the wife.
Four months later, Toor’s wife, Kamaldeep Kaur, is mourning her husband’s death at the hands of a vicious masked murderer.
“This was a very hard loss for us. He was a role model for most of us,” said Toor’s cousin Micky Gill. He was very well-liked, even by the customers. They said he was always joyous. He never got angry about anything.”
Toor was gunned down Monday during a convenience store robbery, but his identity was not released until Thursday, reported the AzCentral.
Police released a surveillance photo in hopes of capturing the killer. 7-11 is offering an $11,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Members of the Sikh community wonder if Toor was targeted because of his race.
“He handed over the money, but was still shot. It begs the question (of racism),” Rana Singh Sodhi said. “We are new immigrants in this area, but we request the community come out and help get this person behind bars.”
