Jeremy Lin lead a comeback bid that fell short in his first game back with the Brooklyn Nets since going out with a hamstring injury 17 games ago.
The Nets fell to the Houston Rockets 112 – 108.
Lin shot 4 out of 8 in 20 minutes, but more importantly played in crunch time.
With the Nets down by six with 4:56 left, he sparked a 12- 5 run and scored 4 points during that time, but shot an airball with :18 and the Nets down by one.
“I wanted to read the defense and take what he was going to give me,” Lin said to Newsday. “I probably could have driven the ball, but I love that shot and I think I’m capable of hitting it . . . But for me and our whole team, we played aggressively, we played confident and we played to win. I’m OK with that.”
