Four teenage girls and one teen boy are under arrest after a series of robberies targeting many elderly victims in Los Angeles Chinatown.
The LA Times reports the incidents happened over a five week period from mid-November until Christmas.
Police in Los Angeles say there are at least eight victims, including some who speak limited English.
Cellphones, purses and jewelry were snagged and some of the victims were punched, kicked and thrown to the ground.
The five were arrested after a brief chase that began when the suspect’s were spotted in a stolen vehicle and refused to stop.
