A man rescued after falling between two BART trains in the San Francisco Bay Area has died days later from his injuries, reports ABC7.
San Francisco Firefighters used inflated balloons to lift the train off him Wednesday and rushed him to the hospital.
Jeff De La Fuente. 31, fell off the platform and was pinned between the first and second cars from the waist.
Doctors say De La Fuente tried valiantly to fight off his injuries, but died Friday.
“I just want his family to know that he was loved by many,” said his longtime girlfriend, Dorothy Mak. ”

De La Fuente was raised by a single mother and grew up in the Philippines. He had aspirations to become a lawyer and was scheduled to take the LSATs.
