Asian American College Student Missing for Eight Days

  1. Alycia YeomanThe disappearance of a missing 20-year-old college student from the small Northern California town of Yuba City near Sacramento is attracting national attention.

Alycia “Aly” Yeoman has been missing for eight days now. She was last seen at a residence in Yuba City and has since failed to show up for work.

The search for the Yuba College student has been covered by People Magazine as well as local media. Her family issued a statement through the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department that they believe she is still alive.

Concerned family members traveled from across the country to help with her search. Yeoman’s truck was found in nearby Gridley. Residents there say it hadn’t been moved for days.

Authorities have searched the home where Yeoman was last seen. They are also looking into text messages received by Alycia’s mother which claim she has been kidnapped.

Demands for ransom were made.

Alycia YeomanAlycia’s cell phone was found in an area near where Alycia’s vehicle was recovered.

The FBI has joined the Gridley-Biggs Police Department, Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Butte County District Attorney, Sutter County Sheriff’s Office and Sutter County District Attorney’s Office in the investigation.
