An investigation by the University of Texas, Austin into racist flyers posted around campus has been completed.
A person of interest was investigated, but officials at UT say due to privacy laws, the outcome of the “investigation and its outcome” will not be released.
“Other university offices are also conducting reviews to determine if this person violated other university policies, which may lead to sanctions,” wrote Gregory Vincent, Vice President of Diversity and Community Engagement in an open letter to the UT Austin community.

The investigation by the office of the Dean of Students also concluded that the student group which had the room reservation at the time indicated on the flyer had nothing to do with it.
The flyer titled Ethical Lessons to Chinese promoted the course as “a special class to teach Chinese more about ethics.”
“Incidents like this harass and create a hostile environment for many in our community,” said Vincent. “Addressing them effectively is critical to fostering a campus that is free of hate and bias and that welcomes students of all nationalities and backgrounds.”
More than a 100 people reported the flyers to the university which had unveiled its new hate and policy policy just weeks earlier.
