Fans have a full eight months to wait for the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Until the next trailer, they may have to whet their appetite with a new fan film just released starring Filipino American Aris Juson.
Star Wars: The Force and the Fury features Juson as a Jedi who wakes up in a dense forest dazed and injured. He suddenly finds himself in a violent encounter with the Dark Side.
Juson hails from Portland, Oregon by way of Scottsdale, Arizona. His past credits include two other shorts, one which he produced.
LATEST STORIES
In the Force and the Fury, Juson plays his role to perfection, capturing the tone and spirit of past Star Wars films.
The original score by Geoff Koch is no doubt inspired by John Williams. The direction, editing, sound design and visual effects is indeed a nod to the Star Wars epic.

RE: Filipino American Stars in New Star Wars fan Film: Media images are powerful as evidenced by the money expended by advertisers to image and sell their brand and products. Asian Americans now employed by Star Wars and Riverdale are important. When Asian Americans are fully branded as positively as breakfast cereal and our flag, then our diversity will fully be reflected in our American mindset and media. Congrats to these actors!
