Everyone’s favorite, hilarious Asian American comedy darling Mindy Kaling takes the TV airwaves by storm again by getting the green light from NBC for her new comedy series Champions.
An all-star cast will be included with the creator, Mindy Kaling, playing a pivotal guest role, reports Variety. Famous faces include J.J. Totah, Mouzam Makkar, and Nina Wadia, all watched over by powerhouse executive producers Mindy Kaling (our favorite girl!) and Charlie Grandy.
Paraphrased from IMDb, the comedy has a camera theme like The Office as it follows Vince, a gym owner who’s down on his luck as he crashes at his little brother Michael’s place, a guy who’s all brawn but no brains. They live an idealic life of women and protein shakes until Vince’s teenage son drops into the picture, supplied by none other than Mindy Kaling’s character Priya, Vince’s old high school flame.
