The body of a Cornell student missing for two days has been found in Fall Creek in upstate New York, reports the Cornell Daily Sun.
Evidence suggested authorities should use scuba divers in the search for electrical engineering student Aalaap Narasipura who was set to graduate in December.
Their hunch turned out to be correct and they found his body on Friday. No foul play is suspected.
“As we all struggle to process Aalaap’s death, I encourage you to reach out to others for support,” said Vice President for Student and Campus Life Ryan Lombardi, according to ABC. “On behalf of the Cornell University community, I extend our deepest condolences to Aalaap’s family and friends as they grieve this tragedy. They are in our thoughts as we all come to grips with the enormity of this loss.”
Narasipura had plans to pursue a Master of Engineering degree at Cornell. He was described as ambitious and active on the school’s Ultimate Frisbee team.
