Vanessa Hudgens has been confirmed to join the judging panel on the TV reality show So You Think You Can Dance .
“I am so excited for Vanessa to join Mary [Murphy] and me on the judging panel for the 14th season of So You Think You Can Dance,” fellow judge Nigel Lythgoe told Page Six.
Lythgoe also said fans will love Hudgens as much as other judges do.
“There was instant chemistry in the audition rounds,” Lythgoe said. “Vanessa is an accomplished artist and brings her own brand of enthusiasm and energy to our panel.”
The actress brings a strong background in musical theater to the new role. She has been on stage from her childhood, appearing in productions of Cinderella, Carousel, The King and I, The Wizard of Oz, The Music Man.
Vanessa mother is Filipino and also has Chinese and Spanish ancestry.
