Tweet from Senior Trump Administration Energy Official Justified Incarceration of Japanese Americans

William Bradford Tweet

An appointee of President Trump is apologizing for a series of offensive tweets including one which supported the incarceration camps for Japanese Americans in World War II.

William Bradford leads the Energy Department’s office of Indian Energy Policy and programs.

The tweet was just one of several deleted by Bradford, but uncovered by the Washington Post.

Other tweets from Bradford called former President Obama a “Kenyan Creampuff,” referred to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg as a “little arrogrant self-hating Jew,” and nicknamed journalist Megyn Kelly “MegOBgyn.”

Bradford sent the Post an email apologizing for his tweets.

“As a minority and member of the Jewish faith, I sincerely apologize for my disrespectful and offensive comments,” wrote Bradford, a member of the Chiricahua Apache Nation.

“These comments are inexcusable and I do not stand by them. Now, as a public servant, I hold myself to a higher standard, and I will work every day to better the lives of all Americans.”

According to the Huffington Post, Bradford is no stranger to controversy. In 2015, he resigned from his position at West Point as a law professor after it was reported he inflated his military and academic record and also urged attacks on Islamic holy sites.
