A new short film produced by Hook star Danta Basco has just been released
Basco played Rufio in the 1991 Steven Spielberg film.
He’s back in a prequel entitled Bangarang. Rafio served as producer of the 12 minute short, giving it a boost by launching a crowdfunding campaign, according to Pop Culture. This time he makes an appearance as Principal Cullen.
Bangarang is directed by Jonah Feingold and co-written by Feingold and Jeremy Mittlemen.
It stars Sheaden Gabriel as Roofus, and Olivia Trujillo and Keilyn Bryant as his two best friends-Ella & Julani who help Roofus plot to escape his almost certain demise. Cheryl Tsai plays Roofus’s mother and Jasika Nicole is Shauna.
