A commemorative plaque marking the birthplace of Bruce Lee has been placed at San Francisco’s Chinese Hospital.
ABC7 reports that actor Philip Ng and director George Nolfi of the upcoming movie Birth of the Dragon were on hand for the dedication.
A special benefit showing of the movie took place Wednesday with proceeds going to the hospital.
“I tried to capture the spirit of Bruce Lee. He was a superhero but he was also a human being,” said Ng who plays the role of Lee.
The movie received much criticism while in preproduction for allegedly shifting the focus of the film away from Lee and to a supposed rival, played by White actor Steve McKee.
