AAPI Teen Girl Starts at Quarterback

Alexandria Buchanan has become the first girl in Hawaii to start at quarterback for a varsity squad. Oh, and she also threw a touchdown pass in that game.
 
Buchanan plays for McKinley High School in Honolulu where she started last year on the junior varsity team.

Unfortunately for Buchanan, she didn’t get the storybook ending she had hoped.
 
Kalaheo squeaked out a 27 – 26 victory over her McKinley Tigers.
