You could see this coming a mile away, at least I did.
Dozens of NFL players on the world stage took a knee during the national anthem in protest of President Trump’s call for NFL owners to fire any player who did so.
Among those joining the protest today was the Pakistani American owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shad Khan. Khan locked arms with players,while others took a knee before their game in London with the Baltimore Ravens.
Across the field, Ravens coach John Harbaugh also stood up in locked arms with players. Dozens of other players took a knee. Ravens owner Steve Bisciott later issued a statement backing up his players, according to the NY Daily News.
“We recognize our players’ influence. We respect their demonstration and support them 100 percent,” Bisciotti said.

Trump supporter and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft also was sharply critical of the President today.
“I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the comments made by the President on Friday,” Kraft said in a statement quoted in the Washington Post. “I am proud to be associated with so many players who make such tremendous contributions in positively impacting our communities.
Trump repeated his call Sunday for players to be fired or suspended who take part in protests during the National Anthem.
If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!

Several more protests among NFL players are likely. The offensive line of the Oakland Raiders have already announced their intention to take a knee during the anthem before their nationally televised Sunday night game against Washington.
