Asian American Civil Rights Group Calls for Boycott of Baseball after the World Series

Yuli Guriel

Outraged by Yuli Guriel’s racist antics in the World Series, Asian Americans for Fair Play has called for a boycott of Major League Baseball.

Fair Play commissioner Rob Manfreyama said the boycott of five games would begin at the start of the next baseball season.

“We didn’t want Guriel’s actions to ruin the World Series for Asian Americans,” explained Manfreyama. “Japanese Americans have had a long history with baseball going back to to before the incarceration camps during World War II. Boycotting baseball after the World Series sends the message that yeah, we’re mad, but our anger can wait.”

Sources say Manfreyama felt he couldn’t just sit idle in front of his TV with a beer in his hand and a baseball cap on his head. He had to do something. But dog gone it, he wasn’t going to allow Guriel to make him miss his World Series because that wouldn’t be fair.

Meanwhile, Major League Baseball has announced it will send a team of All Stars to go on a good will tour through Japan during the winter as a gesture of friendship.

Guriel has agreed to throw out the first pitch of game one and serve as head ambassador of Team USA.
