A two-month old baby boy has been found safe and unharmed after police say he was kidnapped Friday by his father.
The Los Angeles Times reports Jeffery Michael Gomes is in custody for the kidnapping of his son Jefferson Gomes who was described by the California Highway Patrol as Asian.
According to CBS LA, the two were found Saturday in the Bakersfield area.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department say the abduction happened after a domestic dispute. The father escaped in his white pick up truck heading north on Interstate 5.
At one point, it was believed the pair were possibly heading to the San Francisco Bay Area where they had family.

Authorities issued an Amber alert and by early Saturday morning, investigators received tips the pick up was seen leaving the Los Angeles International Airport.
Details of how the boy was recovered and the arrest was made have not been released.
