Team USA three-time Olympic silver medalist Julie Chu is celebrating the birth of her first child, reports the Montreal Gazette.
Her partner and fellow Olympian Caroline Ouellette made the announcement on Instagram.
The Star reports Liv Chu-Ouellette was born Nov. 5 at 40 weeks and 2 days. She weighed in at seven pounds, three ounces.
Quellette and Chu both currently played in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League for Les Canadiennes de Montréal. The two are former rivals with Ouellette having won four Olympic gold medals.
“We couldn’t have felt luckier, until we were blessed with the most incredible gift so far.”
